Another option for straightening teeth without braces is cosmetic tooth bonding. Direct or transitional bonding is a same-day treatment that is complete in about an hour. The dentist will clear out any debris, apply the bonding compound directly to the tooth, and shape it. Then the dentist hardens the compound using a UV light.
Porcelain Veneers

Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Tooth bonding is a fairly inexpensive treatment that our dentists can often complete in just one visit. Dr. Chen and Dr. Sowell recommend bonding to patients who want straighter teeth but are not ready for porcelain veneers or clear aligners. However, this treatment is a temporary solution until you are ready for a more permanent treatment. The results are not as durable or long-lasting as porcelain veneers.
At your teeth bonding appointment, Dr. Chen will remove a minimal amount of surface tooth enamel from your teeth. Then, she will directly apply the tooth-colored resin to each tooth, which will blend in with the rest of your natural teeth.
Next, she will sculpt the bonding material into the desired shape by hand using her artistic eye. Lastly, she will harden it with an ultraviolet light or laser and polish it. You will have straighter teeth with this affordable treatment in just a single visit. You will be able to use your mouth almost immediately after treatment.
